digital sky

in the digital sky,
we search the clouds for memories,
of our past, our present, our future.

in the digital sky,
we search the stars for answers,
of what to do with our past, our present, our future.

in the digital sky,
we search ourselves for reasons,
to explain our past, our present, our future.

in the digital sky,
we search each other for motivation,
to continue despite our past, our present, our future.

in the digital sky,
we can find everything and nothing,
the answers and inquiries we seek yet ignore,
the truths and lies we covet yet loathe,
destabilizing our past, our present, our future,

if we do not ground ourselves
in the physical earth.
